Calvin

Calvin is a perfect companion for an older person. He loves to be with people and is very friendly. He is good to walk on the lead but wouldn’t need a great deal of exercise, perhaps a short walk every day or just a couple of times a week would be enough. Calvin does need to be an inside dog and have access to inside when you are not there. Calvin is ok with other dogs and cats. We had to have Calvins coat clipped right back and it will need brushing and grooming when it grows back.

Calvin has a Grade 4 heart murmur. We have taken xrays of his heart and lungs and at this stage Calvin does not need to be on any medication. He may need to commence medication sometime in the future. Calvin also had a very bad ear infection that had been neglected for a long time. We have been treating this and it is looking very good now but will need to be monitored in the future. Calvin also has a luxating patella which does not impact on him at all. The xrays also showed some arthritis in his front legs. None of these conditions are obvious when you look at Calvin, he is bright and full of life. Calvin weighs 8.9kg.
